A total of 80 teams and 360 students worked for four months on IT solutions for real clients under the guidance of mentors. The winning team developed a platform for analyzing rental apartments for the Slovak Rental Agency and will present the project at the international INVESTech Skills 2026 final in Cyprus.

Experts agreed that Slovakia is significantly lagging behind in digital performance.

Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs are forced to face a multitude of constantly emerging technological challenges. The question of how technological trends are transforming business, not only in eastern Slovakia, was the central theme of the Innovation Within Reach – Digital (R)evolution conference. It was organized by the EDIH Cassovium consortium, which consists of three key institutions operating in eastern Slovakia: the Technical University of Košice, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, and Košice IT Valley.
