CODE MEETS INDUSTRY

The Code Meets Industry meetup will bring practical insights into the use of AI, machine learning and automation in heavy industry. Speakers from U.S. Steel Košice and M-D-J will present real solutions, their benefits and limitations, and experiences directly from practice.

CEO Breakfast

For members

At the CEO Breakfast we welcome Hugo Gloss from the DEKK Institute. The discussion will focus on economic uncertainty, entrepreneurship in Slovakia and social trust. The Leaders' Meeting will take place on 27 May at 9:00 a.m. at DKC Veritas.

SARIO Business Day 2026 in Košice

WRO 2026 SLOVAK CHAMPIONSHIP OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Opportunities

The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is one of the largest international robotics competitions for young talent in STEM, programming and robotics. The competition connects education, innovation and technological development for young people aged 8 to 19. In Slovakia, it has been organised by Talentum Cassoviensis in cooperation with Edutus University in Hungary since 2019.

EduScrum for educators

The workshop introduces Scrum and eduScrum as modern agile approaches usable in school environments and team collaboration. Participants will learn about the basic principles of Scrum, roles in a team and the different Scrum ceremonies. Through interactive activities and hands-on exercises, they will experience how an agile team works in practice and experience the benefits of effective collaboration, planning and self-reflection. The workshop offers inspiration on how to respond flexibly to change, manage complex tasks more easily, and support continuous improvement of both the team and individuals.

Focus Groups: the future is automotive

In cooperation with Business Košice, we will follow up the discussion with a working meeting after the conference on 9 June 2026, the aim of which is to turn ideas into concrete actions. The format of three facilitated workshops will provide a space for deeper collaboration, exchange of experiences and proposal of solutions for the future of the region.

The conference for STEM educators will take place on 19 February 2026 at UVP Technicom Košice (9:00-15:30). The free event will offer a keynote on AI and innovation in education as well as practical workshops usable directly in teaching.

Local communities

UX / Košice invites you to a traditional community meeting full of inspiring lectures and networking. Together with experts we will look at how accessibility in UX works in real practice. DataDay 6

Education

DataDay 6 is an educational event for high school students focused on data science, artificial intelligence and technology. It will offer lectures, workshops and interactive activities. The event is organized by the Institute of Informatics at UPJŠ in cooperation with Košice IT Valley.

Final of the 11th edition of Live IT Projects

Education

The final of the 11th edition of the Live IT Projects will take place on 4 February 2026 in the Aula Maxima TUKE. Student teams will present IT solutions from 65 projects in front of the jury and the public. INVESTECH Skills and international participation are also part of the event.

MedTech Day 2026

Conference

MedTech Day 2026 is a professional conference that connects medicine, technology and innovation. It brings together healthcare professionals, companies, startups, research and the public sector to develop modern healthcare in Eastern Slovakia.

AI & digital security – practical and easy to understand

Education

An interactive workshop for engineering students focused on generative AI and digital security. Participants will learn about AI tools, creative uses of AI, cyber threats and protection in the online space.

ACADEMIC DAYS OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST

Education

An educational event for high school students focused on digital competences, cybersecurity, AI and digital identity. The event is part of the Košice IT Valley at CG St. John the Baptist in Trebišov with the support of AT&T.

Christmas networking

For members

The Košice IT Valley Christmas Party will take place on 4 December 2025 at the Bankov Hotel in Great Gatsby style. Two representatives from each member company are invited. It will also include a fundraiser in support of the Sisters of Congregatio Jesu in Jarovnice. Registration by invitation only.

Startup Awards 2025 Final

The final of Startup Awards Slovakia 2025 (27 November, National Theatre Košice) will bring 9 top startups, investors and a keynote from Uri Levin, founder of Waze and Moovit. The teams will compete for €250,000 from the Seed Starter Fund. Inspiration, networking and energy of the Slovak startup scene in one place.

All in One Cocktail
