IT Pub Quiz

The IT Pub Quiz is an initiative organised by FPT Slovakia in collaboration with Košice IT Valley.One evening, nearly 50 questions and teams from across the Košice IT community. As well as providing plenty of fun and new insights, we also want to help – all proceeds from the collection, organised bySociálne bývanie n. o., will go towards helping a mother of four.

See you onTuesday 15 September 2026 at Tabačka Kulturfabrik. The quiz starts at6.00 pm, but you’re welcome to arrive from5.30 pm.It’s expected to finish at9.00 pm.

Why we do it

What if helping others were fun?

The Košice IT community loves to have fun and loves helping others even more. So why not combine the two? An evening where we can get to know each other better, take part in a competition and, at the same time, send help where it’s needed. Although a single quiz won’t change the world, it can bring hope to one family.

Who do we help?

Silvia is a mother of four who is facing difficult circumstances in her life and with her health. You can read more about her story HERE.

Admission and refreshments

The contribution to the collection is€10 per person, payable on the spot by card or in cash. Anyone who wishes to contribute more is, of course, welcome to do so.

Tabačka has excellent food and a bar, so if you fancy an iconic dish, a good beer or anything else, you can order it on the spot at your own expense. And so you don’t start on an empty stomach – a small snack will be waiting for you on every table as a thank you from us and to fuel your brain during the quiz.

How it works

• The competition will be held in teams. Each team must have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 members.
• If you’d like to take part but don’t have a team, do get in touch and we’ll try to find you some teammates.
• There are a total of 48 questions, divided into 4 rounds (4 × 12).
• For each question, discuss it within your team and write the answer on the answer sheet.
• The scorecard will be totalled at the end of each round so that you can keep track of the current score.
• The top three teams will receive valuable prizes.
• The questions are designed to get you guessing, to keep you entertained, but also to help you learn something new.
• There’ll be a few technical questions from the IT sector, figures from IT Valley surveys, and questions about our picturesque city of Košice.
• Nikola Tabaková from FPT Slovakia will guide you through the quiz; as an experienced quizmaster, she has already organised over 50 quizzes for colleagues and the general public.
