About the Project
Danube4Rural.com is a project supported under the Interreg Danube Programme 2021–2027, bringing together 12 partners from 11 Danube region countries and 11 associated strategic partners. It represents a strong transnational partnership aiming to address the urgent challenge of rural depopulation by creating an integrated governance modelthat helps rural communities become more attractive for people and employers alike.
The project focuses on designing and testing policies in three key areas:
- Quality of life,
- Financial incentives,
- Regulatory framework improvements.
These policy packages will be co-created and tested in 10 disadvantaged rural pilot areas, with the support of research institutions, public and private organisations, policy experts, and community representatives.
Košice IT Valley’s Participation
Košice IT Valley is a proud partner of the Danube4Rural.com project.
As members, we contribute to the development and testing of policies in the fields of quality of life, financial incentives, and regulatory framework. We actively engage in joint activities such as consultative processes, research contributions, pilot testing, and expert discussions. We also participate in public and dissemination events that share the project’s results with wider audiences.
Our participation demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting sustainable rural development through strategies that enhance regional attractiveness, strengthen competitiveness, and improve the overall quality of life in communities across the Danube region.
