WRO 2026 SLOVAK CHAMPIONSHIP OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is one of the largest international robotics competitions for young talent in STEM, programming and robotics. The competition connects education, innovation and technological development for young people aged 8 to 19. In Slovakia, it has been organised by Talentum Cassoviensis in cooperation with Edutus University in Hungary since 2019.

The competition is aimed at development:

programming and robotics,
technical and analytical thinking,
teamwork,
creativity and real-world problem solving,
entrepreneurship and presentation skills.

Competition categories

RoboMission - autonomous robots performing tasks on the competition field,
Future Innovators - a project category focused on intelligent robotic solutions to real-world problems.

The WRO Slovakia 2026 National Final will take place on 2 June 2026 in Košice.

WRO creates space for:

supporting young talent in IT and robotics,
linking schools, universities and technology companies,
building the next generation of IT professionals,
Developing digital and innovation competences in the region.

The competition also naturally promotes interest in STEM fields and motivates young people to continue their studies in information technology and engineering
