IVIP Forum 2025 is a unique inspirational conference for all those who want to transform cities and towns into real communities, friendly to all who live in them.
Surveys show that roughly half of young people are considering or already planning to leave Slovakia. In November 2024, IVIP, in cooperation with KAS, organised a forum at which we jointly searched for hope for Slovakia. More than 170 people - politicians and experts showed their determination to find innovative solutions for a better life in Slovakia and to make it a country where we like to live and where children want to return. We need to continue to meet and inspire each other with these people and others like them.
Both the pandemic and the refugee crisis after Russia's invasion of Ukraine have shown that local and regional governments are the real backbone of Slovakia, which can be relied on in difficult moments. At the same time, local governments are among the most trusted institutions.
It is through community and local initiatives that the real renewal of Slovakia can come - this is the first place where we need more hope bearers to get involved.
Examples of good practice from Slovakia and the Czech Republic in the field of community development, creating meaningful public spaces and the use of innovation await you. We will show you how to support families, children and young people with simple steps while building intergenerational solidarity.
IVIP Forum 2025 will offer concrete solutions for small and medium-sized settlements, tips for community involvement in policy-making, pro-family strategies and technological innovations for municipalities. The aim is to inspire, motivate engagement and connect people to the vision of a better Slovakia.
