Košice IT Valley is a co-organizer of the inaugural MAGNA Hackathon, bringing together students, technology professionals and representatives of academia. The event will take place on 10–11 November 2026 at UVP Technicom, located on the campus of the Technical University of Košice.
The initiative is led by Magna Powertrain and Magna Electronics, in cooperation with Košice IT Valley and representatives of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence. The aim of the hackathon is to provide students with an opportunity to develop their technical skills, work on practical challenges and experience teamwork under the guidance of industry professionals.
Participants can look forward to an intensive 24-hour event during which they will tackle technical challenges, consult their ideas with mentors and work on functional and innovative solutions. The programme will also include a keynote presentation by Magna, accompanying activities and opportunities to connect with other people from the technology community.
MAGNA Hackathon offers students an opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, develop their problem-solving skills and explore the technological challenges faced by companies in the industrial sector.
