On 7 - 9 November 2025, the 10th CASSINI Hackathon - a European innovation event focused on the use of satellite data and technologies in the fields of gaming, sports and tourism- will take place at the TECHNICOM University Science Park in Košice.
This year Slovak Space Office became a local organizer and after four years brings CASSINI Hackathon back to Slovakia. The event takes place simultaneously in 11 countries around the world - from New Caledonia to Košice!
The winning teams will advance to the European finals, which will take place online on 12 November 2025.
The aim of the hackathon is to create practical solutions using satellite data for real-world challenges on Earth. Participants will work on specific "challenges" that can link space technology to innovations in everyday life.

CASSINI (Competitive Space Start-ups for INnovation Initiative) is a European Commission programme that supports entrepreneurship, innovation and growth in the European space sector. It helps start-ups and SMEs from idea to scalable products and services - through programmes such as the CASSINI Business Accelerator, CASSINI Matchmaking, CASSINI Hackathons and the CASSINI Investment Fund.
It focuses on the use of satellite data and signals from the Copernicus and Galileo programmes.
