In preparing the report, we relied on data on companies that operated in the ICT sector in Košice in 2024 and generated non-zero revenues. The selection included only companies headquartered directly in Košice, branches of companies based outside the city were not included. The data are categorized by the number of employees and supplemented with information on total revenues and the number of ICT specialists in the Košice and Prešov Regions.
Data on students were collected for study programmes whose students and graduates we consider suitable for employment in the ICT sector. The analysis includes all study programmes of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at TUKE, as well as selected study programmes of the Faculty of Science at UPJŠ focused on computer science, mathematics, and physics.
