AfB is the first and largest European social enterprise focused on the sale and disposal of used computer technology combined with support for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the work process. We take discarded hardware from our partner companies and offer them an effective solution for maximizing the evaluation of their used computer technology, which we achieve by refurbishing (modifying and repairing) it to meet the criteria for its further use. With this activity, we extend the life cycle of computer technology, save natural resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The quality of our services is also evidenced by the title of Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR), with which Microsoft awarded us.

A significant factor for our partners is the minimization of security risks related to their company data present in computer technology. AfB is aware of these risks, so data protection is our highest priority. All data contained in the acquired computer technology is destroyed according to internal company standards according to DIN 66399, either using certified software from Blancco or, if erasure is not possible, the storage medium is physically destroyed.

AfB safely recycles hardware that can no longer be recovered according to strict in-house criteria, which demonstrates our responsibility and our sincere commitment to providing important environmental benefits to this planet.
